Attention user!

  In the National library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi developed a Database of "Rare books and manuscripts", which was created for the benefit of scientists, Orientalists, historians and all specialists who study the cultural and historical heritage, embodied in the handwritten manuscripts, lithographs and print previous years.

  The database includes a search engine for the directory of rare books and manuscripts stored in the library, and access to their digital full-text form. In addition, there are special options for registered users: scientists, specialists and researchers can exchange their opinions, to cite the scientific papers that leave comments while viewing the digital images represented in the Database and to post their articles, essays on current issues in the study of Ethnography, history, culture, art, ethics, philosophy, and literature.

  The database supports the ability to search and view information about manuscripts and rare editions held by other libraries, museums, archives, profile institutes, which allows to obtain full information about resources collected in one space and save time in the selection of information sources located in various institutions.

  The Database contains full-text data of manuscripts, unique and valuable books of the National library, which are available for viewing in the amount of 15% of the whole resource.

  To gain access to the full electronic versions in scientific and research purposes must apply with an official letter (see below the link "sample letter") addressed to the management of the National library.
